About The Owner

Lakeshia Britton Green was born and raised in Southwest Georgia in a small rural town. Early in her life her love for reading and writing took root. She won two writing awards in elementary school and then went on to hone her craft by starting on a novel her 10th grade year. During her years in high school she competed annually in the Impromptu Speaking competition in FBLA (Future Business Leaders Association). She joined the Army Reserves fresh out of high school and once her training was complete, pursued a degree at Clark Atlanta University. She planned to use her passion for reading, writing and her love of being in the public eye to her advantage by majoring in Public Relations. During her second semester at Clark Atlanta, she had to answer the call of duty and was deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom II.

Post deployment, after taking some time off to have her daughter, she re-enrolled in Clark Atlanta and completed her course load for her major. During that time, she worked with Non-profit organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters and ITLA (In the Life Atlanta) a Non-profit organization for those who are in the LGBTQ community. In 2009, she re-enlisted into the Army as an active duty soldier. She served her country in South Korea and Maryland before deciding to make the big leap and become an entrepreneur. As her military career was ending, she decided to start the ground work for her own Public Relations firm. It was a bold move that was met with uncertainty, but one of her favorite quotes is, “A thousand-mile journey begins with one step.” She stepped out on faith. Ultimately being called The Britton Group, Lakeshia decided that her primary audience should be small businesses who tend to believe that they cannot afford all the attention and branding help that larger conglomerates receive. Not only did she decide to focus on small businesses, she decided to also make her focus on educating people about the pros of hiring a public relations professional, and to educate small businesses on the public relations process itself so they can understand and execute their own branding process.

During her first year in operation, Lakeshia acquired clients in from Los Angeles, Boston, Massachusetts, Atlanta, New York City, and others. To complete her mission, she went back to school and completed her degree. She graduated in May 2016. Between the time she was educating small businesses on Public Relations, she noticed a growing problem with the evolution of Television. An avid reality television show watcher, Lakeshia grew weary with the negative displays of several dynamics of people. Feeling that people were being detrimentally misrepresented, she decided to add a new focus to her repertoire. She took on the task of wanting to change the way reality television is seen. Drama filled shows could not be the only way to display the way America works. Since 2012 she has written 8 unscripted treatments for television. In 2015 she won 5th place nationally in the Reality TV Format Awards for one of her treatments. She has been fortunate to have her treatments seen by over 100 television producers with all of her treatments having been viewed by at least 2 producers. Her goal is to not stop until Americans in unscripted series are seen in a completely different light. The Britton Group has grown legs being able to take on jobs in the arena of personal branding, up to writing Television treatments for unscripted series. “With these legs, I will never stop running.”
